CORVID-19 Update

Dear all. I am sure many of you are asking what is happening in response to the current coronavirus outbreak and what we are doing. Unfortunately the government has now advised against all social events and our District Superintendent has issued guidance that we should temporarily suspend worship services. The church board has therefore reluctantly decided to cancel our Sunday services for the time being, along with other social meetings, in order to act as responsible citizens and not put any of our elderly or vulnerable people at unneccessary risk.

Therefore from today all meetings are cancelled with the exception of the Friday prayer meeting, which will continue for now and will pay due regard to the ‘social distancing’ advice we have all received. Oasis is cancelled this week, Weds 18th March, but is still under review so watch for announcements about whether this will continue.

This is a difficult time for everyone, but now more than ever we need to be there for each other. We are looking at ways in which we can maintain contact with everyone, provide practical and prayer support, and get God’s word out to you all. Watch this space and our social media outlets, especially facebook, for updates on this.

We will keep you updated as things develop.

Bob. On behalf of the Church Board.
