Church AGM 2021

Dear members and friends,

ARTICLE UPDATED MARCH 25th. Added Issue 2 of the AGM booklet, which now contains Pastor Erica’s Report.

Our annual church members meeting (AGM) will take place on Sunday March 21st, following a shorter morning service. Start time will be approximately 11:30, but will depend on the preceding service and will be about 15 minutes after the service ends. Open to all regular attendees of the church.

Please see the attached booklet for this years reports. Note that Pastor Erica’s report will be added to the booklet after the AGM.

This year will be somewhat different from previous years in that the meeting will be held on-line via Zoom, rather than in the church building, due to the continuing Covid-19 situation.  We also have dispensation not hold elections this year, but rather for those members of the existing Board who are willing to continue to simply remain on the Board for a further year. Full elections will be held again next year.  This will therefore be a rather less formal AGM than is usual.

Zoom Details: We will be using the normal zoom log-in, as used for Oasis. Details will not be published here, but will be made available via the church Facebook Group, the NazFam WhatsApp Group and the WCCN ChurchSuite. They will also be emailed or sent by text to everyone whose details we hold on ChurchSuite. If you are a regular attendee or active member and don’t have access to any of these please email me for details (see below).

This will be chance to come together as a church family and support Pastor Erica as she brings her annual report to you.  You will also get to hear brief reports from other church departmental leaders and hear our thoughts about the coming year. It will also be a time to celebrate our church family and encourage each other as we continue to seek to serve the Lord in these difficult times.

While this is a business meeting, it will also be a time of celebration of all the Lord has done for us over the past year; for bringing us this far and continuing with us as we look forward to a better year in 2021.  Therefore this meeting is open not just to church members, but to the whole church family who call Woodside Community Church their church.  Please do plan to join us if you can.

Our Sunday morning service on the 21st will be a bit shorter and will be on YouTube as usual.  After a short break of about 15 minutes the AGM will commence on Zoom, details of which will be sent out nearer the time – it is not expected to be a long meeting.

If you are a church member and unable to attend you may wish to have your apologies recorded, in which case you can just let me know beforehand and I will make your apology at the meeting. Thanks.

Bob Dowty, Church Secretary.
